The page title is from "AKC Field Trial Rules and Standard Procedure for Dachshunds"
Field work, field tests, and field trials are an important means and medium for evaluating breeding stock here in the United States. Therefore, I have a strong interest in showcasing the community of dachshund field enthusiasts. I will post results and photos from events that I attend. Reports and photos from other dachshund field events and especially from hunters are most welcome! Please send them to me and I will post them. Thank you for visiting!

upper left photo: Standard longhair FC Marta v Dorndorf L JE, owned by the webmaster, guards a woodchuck she killed in July, 2004. Still nursing the Dorndorf O litter which had been born in June, Marta heard the commotion made by kennelmate Kasi when he jumped the opportunist in the neighbor's garden. Marta ran in and took over, being the, uh, bitch that she is, and the hot day, tough little opponent, and puncture wounds to her neck didn't slow her down. Our grateful neighbor cooled her off with the hose as Marta stayed by the woodchuck for some time afterward.

I plan to update this page with new pictures very soon!
